We Want A Child Film Listing, The Daily News (Los Angeles, California), May 7, 1954

Never heard of this one before, but this film seems interesting. This Danish film from 1954, touches on abortion, adultery, pregnancy, and infertility. Has anyone out there seen it? Leave a comment and let us know more about it.

Save the diamonds for the fiancé’ or wife, mother deserves the best zircon there is! I jest, but I think zircon have prettier colors than diamonds.

Johnny Guitar Film Listings, The Daily News (Los Angeles, California), May 7, 1954

Folks in 1954 didn’t know what to do with this movie. Some ignored it, some laughed at when they saw it. It was certainly different, for the age of the Western film anyway. Audiences today tend to enjoy it. Check it out! It’s in the National Film Registry for good reason.

Apollo 10 20th Manned U.S. Craft, The Troy Record (Troy, New York), May 19, 1969

Thomas Patton Stafford (1930-), John Watts Young (1930-2018), and Eugene Andrew Cernan (1934-2017) were the crew of this space voyage, only a few days short of the historic moon landing of Apollo 11.

Raisin Day Twin Girls, The Fresno Morning Republican (Fresno, California), May 7, 1923

Lucille and Alice Tompkins were born April 26, 1923 in Fresno, Fresno County, California to James Ellison (1878-1938) and Susanna (Hofstetter) (1881-1939) Tompkins. Lucille married Thomas L. Kingsland in 1961. She died in California 1998 at the the age of 75 and is buried in California. Alice was married to James Aird Torrance Sr.. She died in 1984 at the age of 60 and is buried in California.
