Old Photographs Are Pretty Awesome

Oftentimes, we find many photographs in our research that are unknown in some way. Some we can identify parts of, but most details are lost to time. Here’s a few:

This adorable puppy is unknown, as is the date and location. Looking at context clues (clothes and vehicle), we can place this photograph at circa 1945, but the location is unknown. This photograph has nothing written on the back, thus this puppy is unnamed to us, but will forever be known for be adorable.

Left to Right: Bert Ross, Loyd “Pete” Leach, Blaine “Preacher” Alberts

While we don’t know anything about them except their names, they seem happy in this photograph and we hope they had happy and healthy lives.

Jamestown Monument, June, 1950

Sanford Provin. Circa 1915

Anybody know Sanford? Good looking guy.

Unknown child, date and location.

Woman at Niagara Falls, on Luna Island. Circa 1950s.

Unknown woman, date or location. Stamped by a casting company in Los Angeles.

Wonder if she ever made it into the movies. We hope so. Good looking woman and love the sandals.

These photographs are from our archives. If you recognize anyone in this post, please let us know who they are and we will update our post.
